We aren’t celebrities, or a big brand with a corporate kitchen. We’re a local family right here in Wixom, Michigan. This small business was born out of the same chaos and love that fills many homes just like yours.
Matt, our Executive Chef, brings over 25 years of experience in catering and the hospitality industry to the table. He’s always loved creating memorable meals and meaningful moments through food. But what excited him most was the chance to personalize that experience—to bring it home and truly connect with our community in a more heartfelt, hands-on way.
Like you, we’ve juggled after-school activities, long work days, grocery runs, and the nightly question that haunts every busy parent:
“What’s for dinner?”
That question—asked night after night—eventually became the beginning of something bigger.
Back in 2020, during a time of unpredictable schedules and more hours at home than we knew what to do with, we started preparing extra meals for friends and neighbors. Cooking had always been a passion of ours—a way to connect, share, and care. What started as a few extra portions quickly turned into a small community hub right in our own home.
As word spread, we realized something meaningful:
It wasn’t just about the food.
It was about helping people pause, sit down, and truly enjoy a meal with the ones they love.
That’s when we made the leap. We didn’t just grow—we built our kitchen from the ground up to meet the need. Literally. Our dad built us a commercial kitchen from scratch, and the whole family got involved—from raising the first walls and hanging drywall, to hand-selecting appliances, prep tools, and design details. It was a true labor of love, and every square inch reflects the heart we put into our food and our mission.
Designed intentionally, created with care, and ready to serve more families, our new kitchen became the heart of Food & Family.
We started this business with one simple goal: to help busy families (just like ours) have one less thing to worry about during the week. Today, we’re proud to deliver homemade, oven-ready meals that make dinnertime easier—and more meaningful.
We believe food should do more than fill your stomach. It should nourish your spirit, slow you down, and bring people together.
We also believe in the power of community—in knowing who’s preparing your food, and in trusting that it’s made with love and care, not shortcuts. That’s why we show up each week with fresh, oven-ready meals, packed with quality ingredients and no prep work.
Our girls help us in the kitchen. We take silly photos. We sing while we stir. And yes, it gets messy. But at the end of the day, we’re proud to send out meals that feel like a little extension of our own family table.
The truth is, we don’t do this to build an empire.
We do it because we love it.
We do it because we believe family time matters.
